Gold Coast Biomedical Industry – Measuring the industry’s growth & projection

The maturity of the Gold Coast biomedical sector (medical technologies and pharmaceuticals) continues to go from strength to strength. The first step in understanding the value of the sector and its further growth was captured in a study commissioned by Regional Development Australia Gold Coast in 2021 which reviewed the value of clinical trials on the Gold Coast. An additional study has recently been commissioned which will look at the biomedical sector more broadly. The project partners for this project were:

·         Regional Development Australia Gold Coast;

·         City of Gold Coast;

·         Queensland Government; and

·         Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.
