Gold Coast Biomedical Strategy
Better Cities delivered the Gold Coast Biomedical Strategy by leading a multidisciplinary analysis of the city’s emerging health, medical and innovation ecosystem, assessing the economic, spatial and infrastructure conditions needed to grow a globally competitive biomedical precinct.
The scope included mapping existing clinical, research and private‑sector capabilities; analysing workforce trends, investment patterns and supply‑chain strengths; reviewing land use, transport and precinct‑planning requirements; and benchmarking the Gold Coast against national and international biomedical hubs.
Through targeted engagement with universities, hospitals, industry partners and government agencies, Better Cities produced a clear strategic framework that identifies priority opportunities, enabling infrastructure, governance pathways and investment directions to position the Gold Coast as a leading biomedical and health innovation destination.
