Kooralbyn Masterplan

Better Cities Group is leading the Kooralbyn Masterplan with a deeply community‑led approach that reflects the township’s uniquely rural character, its resort‑driven economy, and the constraints and opportunities created by the private airstrip at the centre of the valley.

Drawing on three months of structured collaboration with the Kooralbyn Master Plan Committee - local residents, business owners, senior Council staff and the divisional Councillor - the project has been shaped by lived experience and grounded feasibility. The resulting plan responds to Kooralbyn’s distinctive setting: a village framed by mountains, defined by its resort and airfield, and connected by a small but passionate community seeking safer streets, better pedestrian links, enhanced parks, and protection of the valley’s environmental assets.
