Better Cities delivered the Mullumbimby Main Street Concept through a hands‑on, community‑centred process that combined technical urban design with genuine local insight.

The project was shaped by an interactive community workshop that brought residents, businesses and stakeholders together to map priorities and test ideas, followed by a walkshop along the main street to observe real‑world conditions, movement patterns and place‑based opportunities.

These engagement activities directly informed the concept design, ensuring it reflected how people actually use the street while identifying ways to strengthen safety, amenity, local identity and economic vitality.
