Better Cities Group in partnership with Rock’n’Slide (image supplied) and A1 Strategy delivered the Gold Coast–wide Skate and BMX Plan by leading a comprehensive, evidence‑based process that combined a full audit of existing skate and ride infrastructure, demographic and participation analysis, and a forward‑looking assessment of what the city needs to become Australia’s leading destination for skate and BMX.

Through workshops, on‑site assessments, local industry, the team mapped current gaps, future demand and network opportunities, ensuring the plan responds to population growth, emerging riding styles and the city’s role as a national events hub.

The resulting strategy provides a clear, staged framework for new facilities, upgrades, precinct‑level planning and long‑term investment, positioning the Gold Coast to deliver a world‑class, connected network that supports recreation, high‑performance pathways and active, inclusive communities.
